Three Chinese operators have deployed new networks offering high speed internet access. Sichuan Telecom, Guangxi Telecom and Inner Mongolia Mobile have all launched networks based on Wavion’s Beamforming Wi-Fi base stations.
The Sichuan Telecom network includes more than 300 WBS-2400 base stations, deployed in the cities of Zigong, Chengdu, Deyang, Leshan, Guangyuan and Suining.
The Guangxi Unicom network includes more than 300 WBS-2400 base stations, deployed in the cities of Nanning, Qinzhou, Guilin, Liuzhou, Hechi, Yulin, Wuzhou, and Chongzuo.
The Inner Mongolia Mobile network includes more than 400 WBS-2400 base stations, deployed the cities of Huhhot, Ordos, Chifeng, Ulanqab, Xilin Gol, Hulunbeier, Wuhai and Alxa.
The three networks provide a variety of metro and enterprise applications such as Wi-Fi coverage and 3G offloading for city areas, university campuses, railway stations, airports and commercial areas. Many of the base stations are co-located with TD-SCDMA / GSM base stations in the urban areas.
Wavion’s Carrier-Grade unique and powerful WBS-2400 spatially adaptive Beamforming base stations provide extended range, higher throughput and Non-Line-Of-Sight (NLOS) coverage. As a result they do not require costly high towers, can be easily installed on poles, and provide wide homogeneous coverage and indoor penetration.
