MTI Wireless Edge: omni-directional antennas for under US$10

MTI Wireless Edge’s new production facility in India is mass producing IP67 Outdoor Omni Directional antennas priced from under US$10. This price allows Mesh and MIMO radio manufacturers and integrators to offer “the highest quality Omni Directional antennas at the lowest prices.” The antennas are available in 2.4GHz, 4.9GHz and 5.8GHz bands.

MTI Wireless Edge, which develops and produces antennae for wireless networking applications, has announced mass production of IP67 Outdoor Omni directional antennas in the ISM bands at a cost of under US$10. The antennas are specially designed to support MIMO mesh and Access Point outdoor radios. By passing on the production cost benefits, MTI expects to boost the MIMO outdoor radios market, while maintaining the product integrity. The antennas are 100% VSWR and IP67 seal tested.

The Omni antennas include ISM 2.4GHz 4/5.5/6.5/7.25/9/dBi, 4.9GHz and ISM/UNII 5.8GHz 8.5/9/10.5dBi Omni directional antennas. They provide “the most-cost effective solution for multiple antennas outdoor radios by offering a very low cost yet high quality and performance solution.”

MTI has about 40 years experience in supplying antennas for both military and commercial applications from 100 KHz to 40 GHz. The  flat panel antenna range includes base station, subscriber and Omni Directional antennas for all broad- and narrow-band WiMAX and broadband wireless applications in both licensed and unlicensed bands.
