Telefónica has chosen Huawei to manage its Latin-American networks, with the Chinese vendor providing its end to end Performance Management Solution.
The solution offers a unified approach to manage all network technologies for mobile, fixed and data services. It will provide multi-vendor, multi-domain, and multi-technology end to end performance management capabilities, as well as quick issue resolution with performance-centric trouble shooting and knowledge sharing via Telco Value Asset across all affiliates of the Telefónica Group in Latin-America.
Huawei is evolving OSS to become a key enabler of service-centric operators, allowing them to play a significantly larger role in the emerging digital economy by transforming from a B2C to a B2B2C player.
“Telefónica OSS simplification strategy is based on the standardisation, simplification and automation of the processes and technologies across our footprint. Huawei Performance Management solution really meets our demands through its leading-edge capabilities,” said Juan Manuel Caro Bernat, Operations & OSS Director at Telefónica S.A.
Howard Liang, Senior Vice President, President of Global Technical Service, Huawei, said: “The cooperation between Telefónica and Huawei has now extended from purely CT to also encompassing IT, and we are confident and committed to delivering the full end to end Performance Management scope requested by Telefónica to the highest quality.”
