NTT Communications and Omantel Collaborate on Wholesale IP Services

NTT Communications and Omantel have agreed to collaborate on wholesale IP services at several locations worldwide.

This agreement creates considerable synergies for both companies in several markets around the world in terms of reach, bandwidth capacity and market expertise, and builds on a shared commitment to further improving the service portfolio available to their customers around the world.

This collaboration will expand the reach of NTT Com’s Tier-1 Global IP Network and offer Omantel’s enterprise and wholesale customers more options to connect at several locations around the world. Similarly, Omantel will provide NTT Com with low-latency backbone capacity that will further enhance the robustness and reliability of NTT Com’s IP backbone.

Benefitting from the unique geographical location and the political stability of the Sultanate, Omantel owns one of the largest submarine networks in the middle east with 5 landing stations hosting more than 10 international submarine cables connecting east with west.
